Xanadu is a Housing Cooperative in Woodhouse, Leeds. The house is a busy
community made up of individuals committed to working for social change
and ecological sustainability.
Xanadu Housing Cooperative was set up in 2004. We own a lovely six bedroom
Victorian terraced house. The six members of the housing co-operative are
all highly active in numerous social projects including running a
community resource centre and campaigning on climate change.
The house has a strong ethical policy, including ethical purchasing
guidelines and reducing our environmental impact. We have long term plans
to invest in improvements to the efficiency and sustainability of the
house.
We are associate members of Radical Routes - a national network of housing
and worker coops working for radical social change.
